Condensation is what you get inside a room due to lack of ventilation where as the misting which may occur within the glass of a double glazed unit is due to the failure of the seals of the double glazed unit.

Do you need planning permission to install a new window?

No not usually.  In certain cases for example in a conservation area where a new aperture is required to change a window into a door you may do.

Personal preference, location, or where space is at a premium may determine which type of door to choose.  Bi-folds require more space as the panels need to be stacked either inside or outside.

Why get windows and doors installed by FENSA registered?

Having your windows and doors installed by a Fensa registered company means the company has been regulated to a high standard both in workmanship and the products supplied and installed.  For your piece of mind the installation is inspected and you are issued with a Fensa Certificate which only a Fensa Registered company can authorise.  Without this you may find difficulties when selling or buying a property in which the glazing has not been Certified to a Fensa standard.  Please bear this in mind when choosing an installer.

Can we get coloured frames and doors to match?

Windows and doors are available in endless colour options.  Standard colours are more cost effective as bespoke colours are a premium product and therefore carry a premium price.

Difference between aluminium window frames and UPVC?

Aluminium windows are strong, durable and weather resistant but are more expensive and can be less energy efficient than UPVC windows.  Aluminium is longer lasting.  But again it is down to personal choice and the look you are trying to create.
